Faculty Member: Brandon Erickson, MD

Dr. Erickson is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports-related injuries of both athletes and non-athletes alike. Through his work with Major League Baseball, he has been able to better define injury patterns and treatment outcomes in elite-level overhead athletes. His research efforts focus on shoulder, knee, and elbow conditions, especially those affecting the throwing athlete.

Lesson 2: Ankle Instability in Athletes

Faculty Member: Brian Winters, MD

Dr. Winters is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon that specializes in all areas of foot & ankle surgery, with an emphasis on total ankle replacement, ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction, sports-related injuries, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, deformity correction and reconstructive surgery related to cartilage injury, avascular necrosis, arthritis, neurologic conditions, trauma, and acute lower extremity fracture care.

Dr. Matthew Pepe is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine, particularly, shoulder, knee, and elbow reconstruction. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to complete his fellowship in both Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Pepe is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and is on staff at Virtua Voorhees and Atlanticare Regional Medical Center. Dr. Pepe is one of the Team Orthopaedic Surgeons for the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as Stockton College.Lesson 3: Common Orthopaedic Injuries from the NFL Combine
