Faculty Member: Brandon Erickson, MD

Dr. Erickson is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports-related injuries of both athletes and non-athletes alike. Through his work with Major League Baseball, he has been able to better define injury patterns and treatment outcomes in elite-level overhead athletes. His research efforts focus on shoulder, knee, and elbow conditions, especially those affecting the throwing athlete.

Lesson 2: On-field Management of Shoulder Dislocation

Faculty Member: Megan Bishop, MD

Dr. Bishop is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. Her clinical interests include ACL reconstruction, multi-ligament knee injuries, knee meniscus tears, patellofemoral instability and pain, cartilage restoration procedures, shoulder instability, and labral tears, as well as rotator cuff repair.

Lesson 3: Shoulder Instability: When to Rehab, When to Operate

Faculty Member: Andrew Beharrie, MD

Dr. Beharrie is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. His clinical interests include rotator cuff repairs, shoulder instability and labral repairs, management of shoulder fractures, arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction (ACL/PCL), meniscus repairs, cartilage restoration procedures, and knee replacement surgery.

 

Christopher Dodson, MDLesson 4: Rotator Cuff Tears in NFL Athletes

Faculty Member: Christopher Dodson, MD

Dr. Dodson is a board-certified Sports Medicine surgeon and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Head Team Physician for the Philadelphia 76ers and is Head Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Philadelphia Eagles. Dr. Dodson was previously an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers and is currently a consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the NHL. He also is the current head team physician for Eastern University and previously served as head team physician for Bryn Athyn College.
